First time i use Affirm and i saw that i paid one extra paiment because they didnt update the paiment or for another reason!! but i got charged from my bank. if i get that refund i will change my star review. so far not so good end up with one extra paiment and a 25% interest :/ ill stick with klarna and afterpay 0%% never had any problems

Absolutely horrific experience, customer service was useless. I have Spoken to numerous "agents" after being OVERCHARGED. After the item was returned to the merchant and I received a full credit from them, it was not applied to my account though the merchant has provided full proof!!!!!!!!
I HATE shady businesses, they are straight up thieves

Someone gained access to my account and changed my email address hence I was not able to verify who I was to regain access. A bunch customer service of attempts later and them telling me I could access my account, I could not, as the very same AOL email address shows as I tried to get in. Now they ignore my emails to fix this. I actually asked them to delete my account so I could setup a new one - Silence... Horried useless customer service. There is a BBB complaint coming.

Never ever again. I made a purchase through an Affirm loan. I returned the item but did not receive a refund. I contacted the store where I purchased the item. They provided proof that they had sent the refund to Affirm weeks prior. They even provided a tracking number. I reached out to Affirm to supply this information thinking that surely this would be the information required to fix the issue. I was told that they didn’t have the refund, could not track it using the tracking number, and could not be bothered to look into it further. I was told to wait a minimum of 30 days for my dispute to be reviewed. Outrageous! They need to find the money that they lost track of and credit it to me!! I can’t even believe the total lack of responsibility on their part. Never use them.

My account has somehow been compromised because I keep being referred to as Jeffrey in the emails I receive regarding my account being frozen after trying to log in when that definitely is not even close to my name, and the account has been locked for going on a couple years now, with no help whatsoever from multiple phone calls at various intervals. They keep telling me they can’t verify my identity because the name doesn’t match (since I don’t know the last name of this “Jeffrey”) even though my phone number and email and date of birth are correct. I’ve even expressed my account security concerns, and they still won’t even let me just close the account either.

At 2:39 am CT I got an authorization code from Affirm.com for a purchase. I have never made a purchase through Affirm and didn't initiate or authorize a purchase through Affirm. So I reached out to the help center, after "chatting" with the AI they sent me over to the "help center" where I was suppose to pay a dollar in order to chat with a human, which I though was a scam in and of itself. But thinking it was cheap insurance, I entered my debit card, where they tried to debit me for 38 dollars, just to "talk" with someone and resolve a potential fraud. Total scam, total BS 0/0

Affirm is completely misleading and feels like a scam. We were shown an interest rate of 9.93% when deciding to move forward, but once the application was processed, we were suddenly charged 27% interest. That’s almost triple the advertised rate!
This is deceptive and unfair to customers. They lure you in with a lower rate, then change the terms once you’re locked in. Absolutely unacceptable business practice. I would give 0 stars if I could. Be very cautious before using Affirm.

Made a purchase with Apple that was approved. A week later, I tried making another purchase for a smaller amount at from a different vendor and was declined, saying that I should check with Equifax. Called Equifax and they said the Affirm didn't even check my credit score (which is excellent) and they said there's absolutely no reason for Affirm declining me.
I called Affirm to understand why the purchase was declined and their customer service rep would just repeat over and over "your credit application was declined and I have no more info".. it was like talking to a tree stump.. I asked him to pass me to someone who'd be able provide an explanation.. he said "I really doubt anyone here can answer that question".. beyond useless..
I insisted to escalate to a supervisor who did provide some information, but it was contradictory to their online info at their help center.. He clearly was just trying to get me off the phone instead of helping.. He was extremely dismissive and talking super fast not allowing me to say one word. Horrid !
I really hope no one has to deal with that kind of (lack) of service.
Edit: Based on Affirm's reply to my Review, they didn't even bother reading the Review title! They are as dismissive as their CS supervisor: The problem I have is NOT with the credit refusal, but with the lack of customer service and no respect or concern whatsoever with the customer's basic questions.
Their cookie-cutter reply to my Review simply CONFIRMS my horrid experience. THEY DO NOT BOTHER TO LISTEN TO ANYTHING THE CUSTOMER SAYS !!!.. TOTALLY OBLIVIOUS AND DISMISSIVE ! - downgraded from 2 star to 1 (wish I could put 0)

All I wanted to do was update my phone number on my account, and two different representatives couldn’t even find my account with either my original phone number or my email. Such a frustrating experience!! I’m done with Affirm!!

Up until now I liked them. But when I purchased something and use your service as my payment and don't get my order. You should try and get the refund on my behalf because I'm not only their customer but I was also yours. Now I'm stuck having to pay you back for something I never received.

I have used a firm more than 20 times over the last few years with great success.
You can do auto payment or manual payment and their terms are clear when you sign into the agreement for your purchase.
Excellent customer service and easy to do business with.
I will continue to use them and highly recommend them
Affirm has a duplicate charge for the same identical only 1 loan on my account. Despite several recorded conversations, customer services refuses to admit that it's a duplicate exact loan for only 1 payment of services.
I have contacted an Attorney. I have reported a dispute to BBB and filed complaints to ALL 3 credit reporting agencies. My attorney has recommended that I contact my local TV news station, for the TV investigative team to do an on- air TV investigative report on Affirm lack of proper oversight in correcting the issue, and Affirm continuing to harass me regrading a duplicate charge/loan with only 1 payment for services.

While I’ve been happy with the actual product, the customer service has been absolutely unacceptable. After a fraudulent charge hit my account, I was told I had to resolve the issue entirely on my own — no support or assistance was offered.
Although a new card was sent, it was immediately flagged and suspended, leaving me without access to any of my purchasing power. This situation has left me completely frustrated and with zero confidence in the company’s willingness or ability to help customers when it matters most.
I expected better support, especially in a situation involving potential fraud.

Trust pilot won't let me put the original date.
Affirm, through Amazon, is a 'pay over time' payment method through Amazon. The review here will not allow me to go back more than a year on the date, although it started in April of 2024. We purchased a fruit press and bags for our 65 olive trees.
The Affirm should have been completed April of this year, but to date is still charging us, sometimes twice a month, always on the 28th of each month. If it's a glitch, FIX IT. When I called 'Affirm,' they said to contact Amazon and when I said I had talked to Amazon and was given the number for Affirm, the woman said they WERE Amazon.
What should have been $136 is up to $215. I love Amazon,buttons is ridiculous.

Not sure how at one point you can pay all of your plans off and then a few weeks later try to do another plan and continue to get rejected without being told how to fix it. Completely useless. Posting this everywhere I can.
Edit: to reply to the response- underwriting needs to get it together since my background isn't the issue and neither is the vendor. Since I posted this my limit actually INCREASED by nearly $1500 which says good things about my history. My planned purchase I tried to make recently was around $125.00. I did have a $297 purchase in the past which I paid right along with the other payments. Plans get approved but when I make a purchase for less than the plan amount I'm still seeing declines. Lot of good it does me if I can't use it.

Terrible customer service from rep JUNDAVE who goes by Dave. You never get to speak with a US rep about your dispute should you have one. I was scammed with a Kuyami pillow and I still lost the dispute. Use your own credit card, the cc companies fight harder for you. In the end I had to pay $40 for junk and I will never use AFFIRM/SHOP PAY again!!!

I do not understand why one day I can purchased whatever I need and the next day there no purchasing power. I could understand if never pay on time are or not at all but I have paid off three amount that was offer in the timeframe that is given and now tell me check back within 3-4 days well I did check back and still the same no purchasing power.
