Very bad service, the delivery didn’t happen at all even though the app said on th phone that the food was delivered.

Fantastic service and excellent delivery today. This is the 3rd time I’ve used JustEat and been very satisfied with the service levels. Today’s delivery guy went above and beyond expectations.
My only complaint is that I would have liked to have given him a tip. I know you can do it at the checkout process but at that point you don’t know if the delivery is going to be good or bad. I don’t carry ANY cash nowadays (the only cash I had I gave to the McDonalds delivery the other week) so it would be great to be able to log back into my order to give a tip, as the gentleman today really deserved it.

Order food off Just Eat at 17:25 on Saturday, advertised time of delivery was 20-35 minutes, I had to call the restaurant at 18:35 and asked if they knew what going on, I was told my order had been cooked awhile ago and they are waiting for Just Eat to send a rider. The rider eventually arrived 19:55 but I refused the order as I know it was cold and I had to order more food from a competitor. I contacted Just Eat and report what had happened and they have said it arrived so you don’t get compensation. They think it’s ok to take over two and half hours for a delivery.

Have now waited nearly two hours for my food, they even updated the status as delivered, have talked with the restaurant and the driver have not been there to pick it up.

Terrible experience. I placed an order from a nearby restaurant (just 5–10 minutes away), and after 3 hours, the order still hadn’t updated. I tried reaching customer service, but there’s no real support — only an unhelpful chatbot. I even called the restaurant, but no one answered. Overall, it was a frustrating and disappointing experience. I won’t be using Just Eat again — I’d rather pay a bit more elsewhere and actually get proper customer support. I wanted to cancel my order and maybe try a different restaurant, but there was no option to cancel. In the end, I didn’t receive my order, even though it said it was delivered.

I’ve been using Just Eat for many years. In the beginning it worked really well, deliveries came on time and I was happy with the service.
But in the last couple of years it’s become a gamble whether you even get your food. Many times I’ve placed an order that was never delivered. When I called the restaurant, they said the food was ready but nobody came to pick it up. There’s also no option in Just Eat to cancel the order if it takes too long time.
I’ve still used Just Eat because the only alternative is bicycle delivery, which I’m not a fan of. But the experience has gone downhill.
On top of that, they used to have real customer support you could reach when there was a problem. Now it’s just an AI chatbot that always replies with “I’m sorry, this cannot be done.” If you’re going to use AI, at least make it useful.
At this point, I really can’t recommend using this service anymore.

ORDER NEVER ARRIVED : I’ve been at home waiting for my door bell to ring to receive order and nothing happened but just eat says delivery complete without even providing any order PIN code to dispatch rider . I contact customer service and was told order was left in front of my house . I dare them to show me proof that it was left in front of my house or surroundings , it’s really a shame to experience this in my first order .

Too often the food takes twice as long to deliver and is cold. I don’t mean that the restaurant takes a long time, I mean that the food is out for delivery for more than 30 minutes. The delivery driver had 3 big food bags on the back seat of the car and one was UberEats

What a total waste of time it's been ordering from Just Eat. I ordered a Taco Bell delivery at 19:08 on Sunday 28th September 2025 and yet from approx. 45ish minutes now it's gone to nearly 2 hours to wait for the order and counting. Utter disgusting customer service. I could have gone to Taco Bell directly and collected it myself if I had known it would take this long. Honestly words do not describe how utter nonsense this is.
I got a reply from Just Eat and it doesn't matter which country. I did not want help from the help centre just to showcase bad customer service. Which is what I get here.

I gave my son some pocket money to order food through Just Eat. He placed an order but immediately cancelled it in panic. Despite cancelling right away, he was charged the full amount, and no food was ever received.
When he contacted Just Eat, they refused to refund the money, claiming the order had already gone through. What makes this even worse is that the restaurant never actually existed in the first place. It should never have been listed on their platform.
Just Eat also provide no telephone support—only an online chat—making it extremely difficult to resolve issues properly. This experience shows a complete lack of customer care and accountability.
I would strongly warn others to be very cautious when using Just Eat, as they allow non-existent businesses to take orders and then refuse to take responsibility.

Improve your app for Customer Service. Put a clause that holds restaurants accountable. ‘Deliver on time or discount the meal.’
Especially when there is no contact with the customer to communicate issues.
When customer orders are not delivered within the time frame allocated, Just Eat does absolutely nothing to assist! Zero customer support! There is no way to contact Just Eat even though you select the button to highlight a problem. Contact is only with the restaurant. The restaurant should not be allowed to manipulate the app to say that an order was requested for delivery at the time the delivery is due. When I called the restaurant said 5-10 minutes but then admitted that they had not even cooked the meal when I asked, so I requested a cancellation. The woman offered me free prawn crackers and I am allergic to prawns. They did not agree to cancel and sent the meal 40 minutes later. Although hot, the udon was dry and hardly any duck in the dish. They did not even discount the cost for the inconvenience while I had to have an alternative meal because I was by then hypoglycaemic. They could have literally refunded the cost of the rice for the severe delay. No show of good faith.
Meal ordered by 19:28. Manipulated message from Just Eat app at 20:25. Then message to enjoy my meal. Call to the restaurant. Meal delivered at 21:08! Unacceptable!
Previously Olives peri peri in Carshalton did not deliver the pizza from the order. Called the restaurant. The response “for the some reason the courier left the pizza”. Seriously! It’s the restaurant’s job to ensure that the courier takes the entire order. I was never refunded for the pizza that was never delivered and I never ordered from Olives peri peri again. Unfortunately, I cannot repeat this episode with Choo! It’s a shame because both restaurants can put out high quality food.
Just Eat needs to step up! Not leave it to the app and the restaurant!

I used Just Eat to order a pizza twice, and both times the pizza arrived an hour later than expected. The firat time they said it wasn't the pizzeria's fault but rather a poor service on their part that hey would have taken care of improving, so I deleted the app and will never use it again.

No longer refund service charges. When half your order is missing they still charge you in full. The service charge is supposed to be percentage of your order. If half my order is missed and I've only received HALF the service, then it's disgusting how they still charge you in full!
