It's reassuring to know that when making changes to insurance policies etc that the person who's guiding you through knows what they're doing. I had the pleasure of BC1 ( user i.d ) who was very patient and knowledgably.
Shoddy service
I logged in to my account to change vehicle details, as I am about to purchase a newer car. I was unable to get the details of the impact on cost of change. I was timed out, and then unable to log back in, even using my correct details and password. I was told that my insurers would not insure my new vehicle.
The live chat feature put me through to somebody who assured me that they'd cancel my insurance in two days (like I'd asked) but then cancelled my policy there and then. This experience was shocking and I would (and have) look(ed) elsewhere for better service. I'm not sure what the brokers' fees cover (!!?)

AA4 Understood my request to transfer non claims bonus's between two policies quickly and provided competitive quotes in a good time. Clearly explained the policies and the Platinum upgrade, Very pleased with the polite and careful explanations.

The operator was very polite and also helpful. Could not fault him. However, the automated system presented a problem, due to not been able to select an option of monthly payments. But other than that once again a great professional service given.
Took the money forgot to send the policy?
Took the money, didn't bother to send the policy. I couldn't access the customer portal, so chased: had to chase via the website. I sat waiting to have a chat online with an agent, once they came online, it was a slow process. The agent sent a link to the customer portal and which showed the policy was in place. I asked why the second email hadn't been received. The agent's response: what i (sic) sent you worked though? Yes - why did I have to chase when the initial email clearly states I'll receive an email confirming the policy is in place? Who has time for this?

Poor, exhausting experience on phone
Took over an hour on phone trying to get re quotation. Staff inexperience didn't help also automatic payment system kept malfunctioning.
