Website/claim service does not work
Been trying to submit our emergency vet bill claim for over a month and the website has been down and every time I try to log in, it makes me reset my password, still never being able to log in, the app also does not work. We pay almost $60 a month and can’t even use the service. Will be switching to new pet insurance.

There is nobody that answers their phone. No online access. An absolute nightmare and I am sorry to have signed up with them and after less than a year I am leaving. There are many other choices for a pet insurance. I recommend that you find any other than this one.

Absolutely horrible customer service
Absolutely, some of the worst customer service I’ve ever received in my entire life. I’ve been misinformed or lied to every time I’ve called in. I’ve made BBB complaints and asked for call backs from supervisors. The agents at the company just get passive aggressive and give you an attitude when you question them about misspeaking. I was told twice you’d rewrite my policy with no lapse after originally canceling due to poor customer service. My account was not rewritten properly and was mishandled due to me having another claim and not wanting to pay. An account manager even told me they could but then said she misspoke. I’m unfortunately going to have to be filing in small claims. Highly advise to avoid this company.

Wait time on phone was 45 minutes. This is pretty bad when most companies now have the option to get a call back when a agent becomes available. Then changed my email address but now I can't log in to my account. Another 45 minutes on hold. Seriously something needs to change.
Pets Best is the BEST
Pets Best has been the single best investment we have made in our dog. Coverage has been as expected. The app works great and we get reimbursed in a timely manner. I have and will continue to recommend!

In the past Pets Best has been very responsive but this past experience is not good. The website problems have made communication difficult. When I have been able to talk to a human they have not been able to resolve my issues with appeals. I am still working the issues.
Used To Be A Good Company
I am so disappointed by Pets Best lately. You can't reach anyone in Customer Service, it took way too long to process my claim for a well visit, and while your website says my reimbursement was sent to my bank, my bank says there are no pending transactions from Pets Best. You used to be such a good company. Now I'm wondering if you're just understaffed, or if you're going out of business and not letting your customer know. Take a look at recent Facebook posts on your page - a lot of unhappy customers!

After being with a different insurance company for 10 years for my 10 year old dog I changed to PetsBest due to their pricing being half of the previous company.
4 months into the PetsBest policy my dog was diagnosed with cancer. Cancer was removed completely and she is doing great. Pet's best paid my large claim without any hassle exactly per the policy.
I was very concerned being a new policy holder with an older dog, but they took care of me without issue. Highly recommend.

PetsBest is really Petsworst, take the time to read
I used Trupanion for 14 years but the quote I got for my new pup was sadly unaffordable. I ended up with Petsbest because the policy they offered was comparable unfotunately, their service/practices aren’t even close.
Our 1st vet visit was for some minor eye irritation and it took well over a month to get reimbursed. In comparison, Trupanion never took over 2-3 days.
Two months ago, my pup injured his leg while playing. The bill for that was over 700.00 which I paid for with a credit card and the next day I submitted the claim. Once again it took so long to get reimbursed that if I hadn’t had the funds to pay the card off, I would have incurred interest charges on it. Most people don’t have the funds to pay their cards off. In those cases, the cost to have PetsBest includes interest charges.
When I asked the vet about which insurance providers they see used the most, I told them I had Petsbest and they said they see a variety of providers but Petsbest is the only one who calls them constantly to argue every charge. That is not an acceptable practice. It’s draining on the staff and reminded me of the issues our own healthcare providers are facing with insurance providers. I’m in healthcare, I see it every day.
Lastly, I got the renewal notice 6 weeks in advance and the premium was going to increase by 25%. I didn’t even finish the year with them, before the start of the final month, I found another insurance with better coverage for the same original price and switched.
i cannot recommend PetsBest because their turn around time for reimbursement is unreasable and can ultimmately even cost you money, they second guess the vets treatment plans & bills they’ve agreed to pay and their rate increases are too high.
Pets best covers very little
Pets best covers very little, and hides behind a complex process. Even when paying for all the extras.
Every visit you want pets best to pay for will require you to submit your receipts for review. Reimbursement only.
On these receipts the will pick apart every line. I pay for every add on, and the highest priced plan. Still, even during years when I have a major emergency pets best underperforms.
Spay, covered under 1/4, emergency toe removal, covered under half, regular care nails, checkups, anal glands, “cosmetic” and not covered.
Vaccines, not covered. Even with the vaccine add on.
Whether you depend on this insurance for emergency, or regular care you will be let down.

The service is slow. The online website hasn't been working for over two months now. I can't access my account. Calling customer service did not help me get into my account. I will be switching to a insurance company that is more easily accessible and attentive to needs.
Great company but slow payments
As far as the price goes, it's comparable with other companies for similar deals. Dealing with the staff was great, submitting claims is easy but getting the claims approved and receiving the payment is extremely slow. You will get the EOB and still take a week to receive the direct deposit.
