Do not buy any Candy or Hotpoint products . Useless customer service and attitude. Also do not use D&G which provide warranty service as add on. The repaired our washing machine and then left the parts behind without instructions. We had to call to find our that it our responsibility for disposing the parts such as large drums and supports.

I have two Candy/ Hoover appliances - a washing machine and a fridge freezer.
The washing machine has NFC to allow control and updates on progress - the app has never been able to communicate - which makes this rubbish.
The machine has a countdown timer to when the wash will finish.
The drum can stop spinning with 3 minutes remaining - and will jump from 2 minutes to complete - OK - not so bad 2 minutes out - but the other day, it said one minute remaining with the drum still with water in it - and maybe 15 minutes later, it said 18 minutes remaining!
Recently, a wash that says it will take 2hrs49 mins (from memory) took just shy of 4 hours!
So what is the point?
As for the fridge freezer, it has a water cooler (not that was a requirement), but has never been used as the constraints on it are quite large - a cheap water bottle in the fridge is better.
It also takes a lot from the door space, so my previous fridge could hold 2x 6 pint milk bottles. This, I can get two 2 pint milk bottles - so my milk bottles have to go in the main body of the fridge - but need to have their lids above the liquid level to avoid leaks - which takes most of a shelf - so appalling use of space.
A couple of months ago, a freezer drawer broke (in normal use) - something I have never heard of before in my life, so I looked for an approved replacement - c. £75 on a fridge/ freezer that cost about £300!
The drawer would have cost £s to make, so this is extortion.
I contacted Customer Services, who said it was nothing to do with them - but it turned out it is a subsidiary, and they would get the parts/ ... from the company - so it is something to do with them!
Had the replacement been at a reasonable price, I would have bought it, and grumbled that it shouldn't have broken, but ...
I did tell them they could have the choice of replacing the item that should never have failed, or never have another purchase from me ever again.
They made it clear they would rather lose a customer (who is very loyal) rather than be pragmatic.
Overall, poor products that don't work as advertised; insulting behaviour re: spares and customer services that don't help.

Candy Smart Pro condenser tumble dryer
Candy Smart Pro condenser tumble dryer. Avoid like the plague!!!! Pooly made junk. Door seal expanded and pulled loose after only a few months of use. The lint trap is poorly made and gaps allow lint to clog up the condenser. Having to wash out lint blocking the condenser foils should not be my concern. I had a repair man come out to repair the door seal as it was under warranty. I asked him to put a new one on. He insisted it would be ok if he pushed the old one back in. It fell out a month later. Junk!!!!
Candy dryers rarely work
Candy dryers rarely work. I work in a residential setting where we use candy dryers, there are always breaking down. At least in work they get serviced. Unfortunatly my landlord also has a candy washing machiene which is shared between 6 flats, the candy dryer is on pause all the time, light is on but wont start.
Worst Customer Service I've Ever Experienced – Avoid Candy/Hoover!
I purchased the Candy CDPN 1L390PW-80 dishwasher in June 2023, sold with the promise of Simply-Fi app connectivity, which was a key feature. Now, less than two years later, that app has been discontinued without any replacement. To make matters worse, the control panel icons have worn off after minimal use, making the appliance almost impossible to operate properly.
What makes this experience even more infuriating is the complete lack of customer service. Despite multiple attempts to contact Candy/Hoover, including a formal escalation to their key account escalations team, I have received absolutely no response. I have been ignored completely — no acknowledgment, no follow-up, nothing.
This is a complete and utter failure on Candy/Hoover’s part, and their disregard for their customers is appalling. They’ve sold a product with misleading features and are now refusing to honour their commitments. If you value accountability or expect any form of support after purchase, do not buy from this company.
I will never be purchasing from Candy or Hoover again, and I urge anyone considering their products to think twice before wasting your money on faulty products and non-existent customer service.
Awful Customer Service!
We had an engineer out to look at our freezer due to some of the bread and other things not feeling completely frozen. Not only has this happened again, they also damaged our not even a year old (at that time) flooring! Scuffed beyond repair. We have been quoted around £200 for a replacement vinyl flooring and all we were offered was £30 as a “goodwill gesture” really really shocking customer service. And have now taken that back and told us to make a claim on our own home insurance! Which will only sting us when we make a claim and our premium goes up next year! Very very disappointed. My advice would absolutely be to go elsewhere!

Purchased Candy Smart Touch June 2022. Yesterday the drum dropped which sounded like an earthquake. I honestly can’t be bothered nor have the time to try and contact the company as it seems an awful long stressful process via reviews. A machine at 2 years and 10 months old shouldn’t do this even though it’s been maintained with the correct machine cleaners. I have ordered another brand rather than wasting time. Never again will I buy Candy and definitely do not recommend

I cannot recall ever dealing with such an incompetent company. A simple washing machine repair is all that's required yet I am faced with missed appointments, appointments changed without contacting me, engineers not ordering parts, engineers arriving with no clue as to the issue and a call centre team who clearly do not care and are more focused on their marketing speech than actually helping customers. I have zero confidence in any date that I am provided with. Ridiculously bad.

I booked a repair with Hoover Candy Customer Service (Stephen) and was told I would receive a text within 48 hours with a scheduling link. That text never arrived. After waiting five days, I called back to follow up—especially since Hoover Candy had already charged me £170.
I then spoke with Amir, who asked me the same questions I had already answered, despite my details supposedly being on file. After a 20-minute hold while Amir consulted his senior advisor, James (who refused to speak with me directly), I was told that no engineers actually service my area. This means that from the moment I booked, they knew no repair could take place—yet I was never informed, and my money was still taken. When I asked why I wasn’t notified and refunded immediately, I received no clear answer. I then requested an immediate refund and an email confirming our conversation.
This level of incompetence is unacceptable. Save yourself the hassle—I will never be purchasing from Hoover Candy again.

They will send you the wrong part numerous times just to try and get you to either pay for an engineer to come or buy another appliance (I put right model and serial number in verified by candy customer service)

Tumble dryer plug blew up and set fire to the socket, luckily I was home .... I wish I could post some pictures of the damage caused by candy tumble dryer. I will never ever buy any candy product again.

Bought a candy washing machine. It doesnt work well.
The washing comes out not smelling good or clean despite using more liquid and longer washes than previous machines I've used.
The timer function doesn't seem to work on the times expected.
Louder than old machines.
