The people hired through this company were crooks and when I contacted RP all they had was tea and sympathy no real help and badically stood back saying they could no way be held responsible for any problems encountered by Tradesperson hired from RP site.

Its web site does not have a search function to find out whether a specific trade person or company is registered with rated people.

Carl was on time and very efficient and quick.Was very happy with the standard of work and would recommend him to anybody who wants a good job done.Will definitely use him again.

Cowboy Company scammers!!!
They started withdrawn £280 a month from my business account without my knowledge I did not give them any permission to do so nor did I sign up to any of their services. They just started taking my money because they had my details when I try to resolve this. It is impossible to speak to anybody just AI. When I checked the Google reviews, there was literally hundreds of people they had done the same thing to stay away from the scammers.

Punctual, polite, did a brilliant job, left hallway immaculate.

Reece was very professional and completed the work to a high standard. Reasonably priced for the work completed. Respectful of the property too and left the area clean and tidy once the job was completed. Would use his services again if needed and would recommend to others who need any plumbing work doing.

Rated people do not check the validity of the trades on their site.
Thankfully I carried out my own background checks on the 'company ' who seemed to be perfect, but fairly new to this website and only a few reviews.
The business owner came out to quote. He looked and sounded the part. Unfortunately he was struck off only last year and this is his new offering. The images, reviews and website didn't quite match with the business owners age and assumed experience. Digging deeper through Facebook, it was friends and relatives
It wouldn't surprise me if the images were not of their work.
Aside from that, the messaging system doesn't work, it is all jumbled up and makes it so difficult to keep track of the message chain.

Following on from the reply below, I reached out to Rated People, as suggested. Unfortunately their AI response bot 'Fin' just went round in circles and never passed me message on for processing by a human. It was a time consuming and frustrating challenge.
After 8 email exchanges this was the response I received:

It doesn't respond to the question and the experience actually made me down grade from 2 stars, to just one; after all if I can't get through to a human, then if I had an issue with the (crook), I really would have been in trouble. AVOID

No stars would be more appropriate!!!! , what a hugely disappointing app and experience. I used this service today to list two jobs but when coming to close the job the website and the app do not work & there’s no one to talk to, so zero customer service and basically and inoperative web site, that now displayed jobs that are not needed, consequently receiving untold number of calls because the website doesn’t work!!!! Terrible

I am so pleased with the work Des did for me. He's very polite and helpful. My bookshelf looks wonderful and he even placed it where it was to go. He works quickly and left no mess. I felt very comfortable in his company and he was very good with my old greyhound. I also asked his advice on another project and he went through what was needed to fix a recent ceiling leak, also, did not try to price up the job without doing a full inspection. First work man in a long time I think has principals.

Have been conned by Rated People, Mr Petru Opariuc, he charge £3k for work identitfied as incorrect by professionianl soundproofing company RUS Ltd. Rated people said they will help solve, after few emails they now have stopped responding for over 2mths. We are out of pocket and no effect of the sound proof. Mr Petru Opariuc used alot lot less and cheapest material and not the whole soundproofing system that is required. He lives in Romania and has run away there as I have contacted him for a refund. He brings his 7year old child to work with him helping him all day as long as 10hrs whilst he was doing our job. I thought this was illegal???
Rated people should be shut down. My advice only use check a trade don't trust any other platform out there period!!🙏

It's very sad. But RP is a huge scam. As a trader, I paid them £240 and got two jobs out of it. Unfortunately, most of the time, I couldn't even get a quote for the work; either the phone was dead, or someone told me they already had a contractor and didn't need a quote. When you need help, emails get a robot response, and they're not willing to refund your money. It's very sad. Before creating an account, I read bad reviews about them and thought it would be different for me, unfortunately. I think there are better ways to spend £240 than RP. One star is too much for them.

Very bad experience, no business account, not registered on company house, red flags, wanted payment into personal account. Demanded full payment immediately after completion before inspection. Very rude, no customer service, swore at me and threatened me after the bank fraud dept. put a hold on payment due to suspicion as payment was going into a personal bank account. Total fund of £8000 for job was not completed. Whole pile of rubbish left at the front of my building, did not deliver on all the jobs. Worst experience ever and loss of money and left me with additional costs to finish the job worst experience ever tried to scamm me to pay to collect the waste. When I didn’t they dumped it in front of the house. I even received death threats from AARON the boss ,told me he’s a member of a violent gang . Left me with an unfinished poorly constructed porch. I am planning to take legal action. And report him to the police. Please stay well clear of them I I have all the evidence to backup my review. They even threatened my tenant

Plumber was quick to respond (same day) and was polite and professional. Job was completed quickly and without fuss or mess. Thank you Victor 😁

The trader was expensive and did not do a very professional job for the sum agreed.

We agreed his price as we had tried a few people to do this job but they never came through.

The work was not well done and I'm not sure he had the right tools. Any queries I had he just fobbed off.
So a very poor quality job but I felt I could not pay him the agreed exorbitant price just to get it over with.

I'm not sure what verification rated people does but I feel totally ripped off and will probably have to fix it all up.
