A great product to monitor cardiac…

A great product to monitor cardiac performance during exercise - important time as someone with heart issues but a fitness fanatic. Product is easy to use with unique stats. Support team is also very responsive when the occasional issue has occurred - and both times the issues was resolved satisfactorily

Fourth Frontier Customer Service :-)

I have had a Fourth Frontier X2 for some time. I am an older athlete. I had some different patterns on the ECG traces during exercise which I wasn't sure about. I raised a question with Fourth Frontier and within an hour got an appointment with one of their medical technicians. On the call she went through all of the patterns explaining what was a trace and what was interference, such as during strength training where chest muscle activity can effect the trace. She also went through very helpfully the other parameters such as HRV, etc.. Really helpful call and hats off to the best customer service I have ever experienced.

Incredible Product with even more incredible service

The product, the X2, is amazing and just what I needed as I'm a 72 year old former competetive runner, then cyclist for the last fifty years. I have suffered from Afib for the last nine years and continue to exercise and train as before though having the additional information provided by the X2 is extremely helpful for me and my cardiologist. I am most impressed, however, with the personal attention I've received while this old guy attempts to learn the intricacies of this truly valuable product. I have contacted the company several times during my learning curve and the staff, especially Poonam, has been kind, attentive and patient. Always following up to check that I'm satisfied and things are working to my expectation.
I simply cannot recommend both the product and staff highly enough.

Had a great experience with this company, i love the products and the quality of the customer service has just taken it to a long forgotten place, they have been so helpful and attentive in answering all my queries. Customer service is not something we can take for granted, I rarely find it, often not getting responses from companies as they can’t be bothered, not so with Fourth Frontier, their products match their customer service, five star all the way *****

5 stars and well deserved

5 stars and well deserved. After a few years my FF HRM was becoming problematic. It took a beating so I was not surprised. Just before a major cycling event it stopped recording my ECG. I have some heart challenges so I monitor my ECG carefully. This was a big cycling event in three days. I contacted customer support and they FEDXed a new device to the hotel I was staying at in approximately 24 hours from when I first called them. The customer service rep. Sahid followed up repeatedly with me and made sure the process was flawless! Totally awesome customer service. I got the new device with plenty of time before my cycling event.

Not fit for purpose

I have found this product to be seriously substandard. I tried it for about 2 months, for cycling, swimming, fitness and sleeping. The results were useless, as it often lost connection in the middle of a cycle ride, rarely recorded more than a few minutes of a swim, and then even on recordings where it did not lose connection, the ECG was intermittent or large parts were missing. I was in continuous contact with their help desk, who although helpful, their advice made no difference and was very time consuming.

Still not working, and third party seller agreed a refund. Fourth Frontier refunded the money I had paid for the premium version of the app. Very sad that this product didn’t work, as I wanted long term health information, but at least the experience has not left me out of pocket.

Frustrating

I own a Frontier X. When it works it gaves really rich data. The problem is it rarely works as expected, in fact it's often a massive faff. It sometimes won't switch on. sometimes won't charge. Sometimes won't sync. It's just unreliable. Oh and the lag between changes in effort and recorded changes in heart rate is also longer than other devices I've used.

This is by far the best heart rate…

This is by far the best heart rate monitor on the market! I'm currently in cardiac rehabilitation after experiencing a heart issue while training for a mountain trail race. My cardiologist recommended Fourth Frontier because his cardiology department uses their monitors for an innovative Sports Cardiology Rehabilitation Programme designed to safely return performance athletes to competition. In my case, the monitor sends data directly to my cardiologist and physiotherapist for analysis, providing them with real-time insights into my recovery progress. This level of professional-grade monitoring gives me confidence that I'm training within safe parameters while working toward my goal of returning to competitive trail running.

Keep well away

I bought an X2 monitor 18 months ago. There have been various issues along the way and trying to get through to customer service hasn't always been a positive experience. However, after recognising that the battery has been slowly dying I contacted them again. I went through the usual difficulties of navigating the 'Your ticket is now closed' when nothing had in fact been done to eventually arrive at an agreement to have the device replaced with a reconditioned one. I was instructed to return the faulty device along with the charging cable, straps, booklets etc. which I did. A week later I have received an empty box and a loose device, but no charging cable, no straps (how on earth am I supposed to charge and use it?) Nothing of any use. This is the final insult of the way they treat their customers. It doesn't matter whether the device (when it works) is good at capturing how the heart responds to exercise when the company treat their customers with such distain. Keep well away from them.

Update: On 25 July I received a reply saying "...we immediately arranged for the missing accessories to be shipped to you. In light of this, we'd be sincerely grateful if you would consider updating or removing your review on Trustpilot. We've taken corrective action. ..."
On 29 July I received another reply saying : "...I appreciate your patience as we worked to resolve the issue by arranging for the missing accessories to be shipped out promptly. I also wanted to kindly check if you had a chance to update or remove your review on Trustpilot. ..."
On informing them that I still hadn't received the missing items, I was later sent a reply stating: "...Your device is ready to be shipped..."
I lose faith in people who spend more effort in trying to get me to remove my review than to putting the issue right. Their priorities are themselves rather than their customers.
I have now, on the 30th received the missing items.
I have updated my review and I will not be removing it.

Ultimate accuracy and convenience

The X plus provides truly a medical grade ECG. I am a physician with both atrial and ventricular arrhythmias. The X plus provides a comfortable and accurate way to monitor 24 hour ECGs both during activity and sleep. It is both more convenient and gives a better read than electrode based systems that I have used, which often fall off or cause skin irritation.

Simply does not work

I bought this expensive product nearly a year ago. It has bever worked in spite of registering the fault with the help desk. I worked with them for a number of months and they refused to either replace or refund. It is now consigned to a drawer never to be used again.

Distinction between X2 and X Plus not explicit

I purchased a Frontier X2 from Amazon on the understanding that I could use it to monitor arrhythmias, but belatedly discovered a comparison between the X2 and X Plus, which made it clear that only the X Plus could be used for this function and that it was a prescription-only device. The website really doesn't make this clear and it's ridiculous to offer a continuous ECG monitoring device that doesn't include analysis of arrhythmias. So, the X2 has been returned to Amazon.

A Great Product Backed by Even Better Support

I've been using the Frontier X ECG device and want to highlight how impressed I am—not just with the technology, but especially with the support team. Their responsiveness and willingness to help has been exceptional. Any time I had questions or needed assistance, they were quick to respond and incredibly helpful. It’s rare to find a company that stands behind their product with such dedicated support. Highly recommend! One tip for new users: avoid wearing exercise clothing that retains static electricity, as it can interfere with ECG signal quality. Stick to natural fibers when possible for the best results.

I ordered the X2 and extra chest strap…

I ordered the X2 and extra chest strap 3 weeks ago ..received the strap quickly...still have not received the device itself...no real communication from their 'staff' other than 'ticket closed'. I was hoping for a good experience so as a physician (MD) I could use it and recommend it to patients..but that will NOT be the case..they still owe me over $429..so no device and no refund...BE VERY CAUTIOUS with this firm...they missed out on a lot more sales !!

ADDENDUM- I am thankful for the apology and the arrival of the X2..I am pleased with the device and plan to recommend it to my patients who are interested in tracking their heart rhythm data. I especially like the ability to adjust one's activity on the app. Thank you for making things right !!

Experience with the X2 device & the premium subscription

I had provided a 3 star review earlier difficulty working on a product Demo. My errors WRT to that review were due to use of a New PC and use a smart phone as camera. A bad combination which has been correcte. More importantly I want to speak about my satisfaction X2 Heart Monitor Strap and the advanced software subscription. I bought this device for better details and health safety risk profiling, during self reguladed cardio-pulmonary rehabilitation. I have logged 17 work outs across 18 days with the X2. X2 performs exceptionally well. I wear it properly and assure good skin contact. All device aspects, including charging, Bluetooth use perform extremely well. The advance software subscription, properly ports data sets out and detailed analysis reports back seamlessly & timelessly over normal cell phone bandwidth of 1 to 2 bar cell strength. Since i am primarily working from Pulmonary limitations (as a reason for rehab) the generated metrics for V02 max and V0 bands and also cardiac pulse rate data. The cardiac pace on the interface matchs (to within a beat with APPLE Watch heart rate & the sensors in grips on the high end "Lifefitness" treadmills. The picture developed by fourt frontier and software is very complete. The subscription price is well-worth the investment for the refined analysis it provides. The phone application interface is extremely easy to use, and to annotate remarks. Even the availability to publish a web link to share a good look at work out data, are easily studied by others. It suppliments the excellent more detailed presentation available on the smart phone. In these 18 days of use, I cant think of anything else needed for their package. It is also worth noting that all of the agents who were working to support the X2 Demo, and also a discussion around X+ (soon to be released) bent over backwards to try and help me with my connectivity issue to see their demos and discussions. Kudo's to their group. I feel like, within their organization, I could get support and help if it were ever needed. If you are looking for a comprehensive device to support your understanding of work outs / work loads for cardiac functional safety this its a great solution. The buy-in price for an X2 a year with all elements, is significantly lower in price than any a months sessions from "sports medical office-controlled" cardio-pulmony rehabilitation, or advanced sport coaching engagements. With the advantage that you own your own schedule and selection of activities. The safety net the device provides is priceless. The Premium subscription gives detailed metrics, detailed analysis, the summary guidance gives just the right constructive considerations that should apply to improving one's fitness goals. Well done Forth Frontier !!!! This company and their principals will own this space for years to come, because of the pursuit of advance AI work inside the device, and through their gateway that serves back the processed data.
