Too difficult to deal with SFR

This company you should avoid ! It simply is too difficult to handle! Hours and hours are spent dealing with them and the different conseillers say different things ! I lost my husband last year and SFR has taken more of my time than any other issues ! No wonder SFR customers are fleeing this company!

ROTTEN SERVICE!

I ordered a new phone line on the client site and with the call center . There were 7 different orders for the same thing and the people who took the orders did them wrong. Each time I confirmed an order, I had to upload a picture of myself my passport and then pay. 6 times it did not go through because of the ineptitude of the employees incapable of correcting problems. The people in the boutique in Biarritz are worse. there was a good review from google that they said was from me and it was never from me. They are rude and not helpful and the technicians who install the internet are worse. They cut the land attenda for the tv without asking me. They said I would not need it anymore. they took my old euipomemt and I received a bill for it with labels to ship it back to them when their tech took it with him. I spent the last two days just trying to get a new cell phone service . over 8 hours on the phone and spoke with 9 people. When they had no answers for me hey said"go to the SFR boutique. Finally at the end of the day at 7p.m. a very nice girl who spoke to me in English which really helped, got my new line working. I took 9 people and 3 hours yesterday and 7 hours today.
ThIS COMPANY STINKS!!!!!

What a joke of a company

What a joke of a company! Your ineptitude has no bounds, I’ve never met a more pathetic attitude. You cut us off because the equipment was outdated, we sent the old back and then you refused replacements as you said we still have an active account and equipment, 5 visits in store and purchasing a French sim because your engineers can’t call an English mobile and you still can’t provide a service available globally. DO NOT USE SFR!!

The worst company.

The worst company.
I’m trying to cancel my internet following the sale of my business and it’s such a mess. Their staff lied on the phone - one employee gave me an email address to send the documents they requested and the email doesn’t exist. They cancelled my procedure online and asked me to redo it and the page doesn’t work. I called them three times already and everyone is saying something different. So incredibly unprofessional!

Le service client n'existe pas customer service.

Bonjour. Depuis plus de 20 ans, je suis client SFR et j'ai dû contacter le service client au 1013. Je commence toujours par expliquer que mon français n'est pas très bon et que l'agent parle lentement pour que je puisse comprendre.
La réponse est toujours très rapide, bien trop rapide pour que moi ou mes amis français puissions comprendre. Je dois souvent leur dire que j'ai plus de 80 ans et que je porte des appareils auditifs. Après avoir demandé à l'agent de répéter sa conversation, la ligne est souvent coupée.
Lorsque je rappelle pour expliquer mon problème, on me dit de parler français, mais la ligne est à nouveau coupée.
Il y a quelques années, des techniciens ont coupé mes deux lignes téléphoniques et j'ai été sans service pendant 5 semaines ! J'ai appelé à plusieurs reprises le 1023 pour signaler mon problème car vos techniciens avaient coupé les fils. J'ai encore les photos des fils coupés. On m'a dit que c'était mon installation qui était en cause et qu'un technicien viendrait à mon domicile. Cela s'est produit 9 fois et toujours pas de service ni de réparation.

Hello. During the past 20+ years I have been a client of sfr and had to contact customer service on 1013, I always start by explaining my French is not so good and can the agent speak slowly so I can try to understand.
This always bring a very rapid response far too fast for me or my French friends to understand. I often have to tell them I am over 80 years old and use hearing aids. After asking the agent to repeat their conversation the line often goes dead or gets cut off.
When I call again to explain my problem I have been told to speak French and again the line goes dead.
Some years ago some technicians cut both my telephone lines and i had no service for 5 weeks! I made numerous calls to 1023 about my lack of service because your technicians had cut the wires, i still have the photos of the broken wires, I was told it was my installation that was at fault and a technician would come to my house. 9 times this happened and still no service or repair.
C'est pire. SFR m'a appelé pour faire amende honorable et installer la fibre optique chez nous ce jeudi matin. Après avoir préparé mon bureau, m'être levé tôt et avoir attendu toute la matinée, personne n'est venu. Pas de téléphone ni de visite.
Un service client pas vraiment bon.

It gets worse. sfr called me to make amends and install a fibre line to our house this thursday morning. After preparing my office and getting up early and waiting all morning no one came. No phone or visit at all.

Four weeks I have been trying to cancel my contract with sfr without success. It seems you can't tel any employee of the company and even calling their Customer Service number 1023 puts you through so many hoops and hurdles you never actually reach CANCEL.
Finally after many attempts to understand their complicated system I have sent off a recorded latter of 'resiliation' and hope for the best.

C'est encore pire après la résiliation de mon contrat et de ma ligne téléphonique le 01/08/2025.
Ma facture « finale » comprend trois appels vers un mobile inconnu, malgré la résiliation de mon abonnement !
Donc, non seulement un service client diabolique, mais aussi des voleurs jusqu'au bout.

It even gets worse after the termination of my contract and phone line on 01.08.2025.
My 'final' bill includes three calls to an unknown mobile despite my service being terminated!
So not only diabolical customer service but robbers to the end.

Ce problème m'affecte sur le plan professionnel !

Mauvaise réception, mauvais service internet et maintenant, je reçois des appels aléatoires et si vous rappelez le numéro, on vous dit que personne ne vous a appelé. J'ai parlé à une dame qui m'a envoyé une capture d'écran indiquant qu'elle avait reçu un appel de mon numéro, mais je ne l'ai jamais appelée. Une fois, j'ai été insultée au cours d'un appel par une personne que je ne connais pas et qui m'a dit que je continuais à l'appeler, je suis allée au magasin pour chercher une solution et j'ai été renvoyée sans solution ni réponse. Et j'ai pu lire sur les visages de vos employés que ce n'est probablement pas la première fois qu'ils entendent parler de cette question !

Cette situation m'affecte professionnellement et je voudrais me plaindre officiellement, car c'est déjà stressant tous les jours !!!!

Vous pouvez imaginer à quel point je suis frustrée si je me plains déjà en ligne et officiellement !

Bad reception, bad internet service and now I get random calls and if you call the number back, they tell you no one called you. I spoke to one lady who sent me a screenshot clearly showing she'd received a call from my number, but I never called her. On one occasion, I was insulted during a call by someone I don't know, who told me that I was continuing to call her. I went to the store to look for a solution and was sent away without any solution or reply. And I could see from your employees' faces that this is probably not the first time they've heard about this issue!

This situation is affecting me professionally and I'd like to make an official complaint, as it's stressful enough every day !!!!

You can imagine how frustrated I am if I’m already complaining online and officially!

Horrible Company Staff are aggressive and unhelpful. managers are worse

I have been a client of SFR for over 3 years They contacted me to make a new offer at a reduced price which i accepted . They then charged me a fee 30 € for installation of new equipment . The equipment was not installed. I complained . They posted out new equipment but the delivery was incomplete . .. so now I have ended up with no television .... worse they posted it out on a post return basis so i had to pack up my old equioment and send it back before i saw what new equipment they sent. Needless to say they sent incomplete equipment . I ended up with no television access. That was only the start of my problems. I called the SFR helpline and they were deliberately unhelpful and objectionable - starting off to say I had to sign an extra contract to get a television box which was clearly different to what they sold me ......then graduating to it was my fault that decoder was returned although their email requested return of all exisitng items for recycling . I was passed between various departments with long periods on hold in between when I finally got through to a manager called Marie who deliberatly despite my objections sent the package by the wrong delivery system knowing I would not be there to collect after i explained i would be absent from the premises, I tried to rearrange this but she was quite obnoxious and unhelpful , So now I have made no progress after more that one and half hours on the phone to the hilariously called sfr helpline !!! Riduculous service terrible company to deal with ... France is only for the french !

Avoid like the plague!

Horrifically bad.

Switched providers to SFR less than 4 months ago and am having to switch to a different provider as the service is so bad.

Had 3 technicians out, no improvement at all. The Wi-Fi randomly cuts out throughout the day.

I've lived in The UK, Thailand, Spain and now France and have never had as many problems with my internet as I've had with SFR.

Avoid like the plague!

Disgraceful behaviour from front of shop

My mother is 88 years old and looking for help with her phone which stopped ringing whilst I was abroad and not able to help her. Goes in and explains her problem but gets sent back out without an agent so much as checking her phone. The excuse for not assisting an 88 year old lady in difficulty? She claims not to be a client of SFR but if an agent had actually taken a look at her phone, they would have noticed she is a client of SFR and all that they needed to do was switch the phone off mute. What a disgraceful lack of client service and just.. humanity from 3 SFR representatives.

Ironically their moto seems to be "thank you for your trust" I certainly don't trust them. Nothing but nuisance calls. Unprofessional, unwanted and unnecessary business practices.

SFR St Antoni The Rudest Shop on Earth

After experiencing ongoing connectivity issues for three weeks and multiple failed technician appointments, I visited the SFR St Antoine store seeking urgent assistance with my pocket WiFi. As a working journalist who doesn't speak French fluently, I needed a reliable connection before my international team arrived and before my month-long travel beginning the next day.

Unfortunately, the service I received was deeply disappointing. One employee was dismissive and condescending, even mocking me to another customer's child who was doing homework in the corner. Despite explaining my urgent situation, I was simply told to continue calling the unreachable helpline and return another day—an impossible solution given my travel schedule.

This disappointing visit followed months of issues with SFR, including being sold what was described as a fiber box but was actually an analog one that didn't function properly for weeks.

I ultimately switched to Orange at a nearby shop, where I immediately received courteous, efficient service and left with both a working pocket WiFi solution and a proper fiber router. The stark contrast in customer service quality made the decision to leave SFR straightforward after months of frustration.

I should note that in a previous visit, an employee named David was helpful, but this recent experience has unfortunately overshadowed any positive interactions.

Mixed experience, offered a €17 reduction on my bill per month which was great and just what I wanted. However, the agent tried to sign me up to a deal with 45 channels. Advised I wasn't interested and she hangs up. I called back, same agent same experience. Not great service to be honest!

Paid money to be shut off

It did not accept any of our international or Australian Visa cards, we had to use our hosts French one. Paid 10 Euro for 10Gb of internet, 2 hours of phone calls and some 200 SMS's for each SIM. Immediately after this occurs, our SIM cards disconnected from all internet, phone and SMS.
Couldn't even contact the customer service phone.

Went to the shop in Nimes, were Jean-Phillip was actively of no use and wished us out.
Do not use this company ever.

Trying to cancel my subscription online is an absolute nightmare . Since end of November i have been trying without success with emails, letter.... Money is still withdrawn every month! No hope of a refund from such a rich company; I am 82 and trying to get anything out of these people is not easy with my limited computer skills.
