Never buy warranty We bought a Jaguar in 2023 from Cazoo…
We bought a Jaguar 2019 plate in 2023 from Cazoo and also purchased a 3-year warranty through them. However, the warranty has been pointless, as claims are never accepted or processed properly. The process is extremely slow, and they take a long time to respond.
They make things very difficult by asking the garage for excessive information before accepting any claim. On top of that, the garage asks us to pay for diagnostics, which is not acceptable.
Recently, my car needed a timing chain replacement as confirmed by the garage mechanic. The garage sent all the necessary information to the warranty provider, but they still insisted that the engine be opened and videos sent — just for diagnostic purposes. This is unreasonable.
To open the engine took around 3–4 hours, and the garage informed me that if the warranty provider did not approve the claim, I would have to pay their charges for this work, which would cost me around £240. In that case, I would be left with nothing — the car returned without repairs, but money taken out of my pocket.
It has now been 5 days, and I am struggling without a car. As a working mother, this situation is causing me significant financial loss, as I am unable to get to work and carry out my daily responsibilities.
Overall, the experience has been extremely poor. They should make the process easier for customers, not unnecessarily complicated. The warranty has not delivered the service promised at the time of purchase.

We bought a car cazoo in 2023
We bought a car cazoo in 2023, from the day we picked it up it wasn’t running properly so we took it back. They changed spark plugs said it was fine. To cut a long story short it’s never worked properly and Cazoo went under leaving us with a car that didn’t work properly and over £13,000 out of pocket. I work as a carer and I can’t afford to repair it yet as can’t afford to. I look and Cazoo are still trading. Do not use the company.
**To the new owners of cazoo who replied to my review, will you be taking responsibility for repairing my car? I doubt it, because of this I wouldn’t use Cazoo again as I have no faith in the name and I would advise others to avoid as well, new ownership doesn’t mean it’s a better company.**
