Wholeheartedly recommend Apex support, whenever we had an issue, they were super nice and fast to resolve, even if sometimes it may not have been Apex issue but Minecraft bugrock itself. We've been using them for 2 years + and have no regrets.

Hark, the server proved most incompatible with my computing device from the lands of Kazakhstan.
Furthermore, its integration with the motorcar's CarPlay is incomplete, a grave disappointment considering my acquisition of an SRT Cherokee. Alas, the setup of this server was a trying ordeal, for it seemed an eternity for Apex to register my button press. I am most displeased, and were it within my power, I would rate it a zero out of ten!

These guys offer fantastic support, and have always saved me and my map when i do silly things/updates and broke my server.
The team are really nice to talk to, know their stuff and within reason are very prompt to reply, (people need to sleep :) )

My experience with apex was horrible the server constantly lagged, crashed a multitude of times, and the customer service was terrible. I personally have no clue what these 5 and 4 star reviewers are talking about, and have no clue as to how apex hosting has a 4.2 from my point of view it should have a 0.

Truthfully I have never had a better server experience then this the staff is helpful kind and wonderful They sit down help you through it and even to the point of doing things outside of their regular pay grade I truly think that they're making a family instead of making a business And truthfully I'm happy to be the one or second removed uncle that keeps giving them more money

Everyone was telling me about how Apex was such a great host, but unfortunately I have had nothing but a bad experience. My server is just for me and my small family of 8 to play on and yet the server can't run for 5 minutes without it crashing. There is no plugins or mods so 2 GB of RAM should be more than enough! Support (which took over an hour to respond) told me it is cause they have all their servers fighting for the same outdated CPUs and that there is nothing they could do. This is just such an insane response for the price they charge you. I have to work 2 jobs just to afford Apex. Finally I am very concerned over the Fin bot on your website as it literally told me it was going to take over the world. Overall there are so many better host, do not pick!
Very disappointed, can't wait for my billing cycle to be up so I can switch host.
Edit: Apex is a joke of a company. You could expect how they responded to this review to be how they respond to anything you need of support. I am confident they just used CHAT-GPT to make this response just like they do for support request. Can't even get their numbers right. Many server host actually use better CPUs then Ryzen 7950X. And most is the key word - you have zero clue what your server is actually running on. Either way you are on 1 core (other hosting will give you 4 or 5) and it's shared between multiple servers.

In the past, Apex Hosting was the best server host I had used. Reliable, easy, and worth recommending. Unfortunately, my recent experience has been the complete opposite.
Broken features: When I purchased a Minecraft server from Apex, I expected the automated modpack installer to work properly, but the installer gave me an empty package with an outdated NeoForge version. Support claimed they "fixed" it, but what they did was manually extract the pack over NeoForge, leaving my server unable to receive automatic updates, which is unacceptable. Upon requesting that they fix their auto installer, they told me they would create an internal ticket to their developers, and didn't give me a timeframe of when it would be fixed.
Incredibly slow support: Technical support replies took up to 4 hours, and billing support replies took up to 4 days. When I asked about priority, I was told ticket status doesn’t matter, so urgent issues are treated the same as trivial ones.
Inconsistent information: I was also told that the student discount only applies to monthly plans, not quarterly, these conditions not disclosed anywhere on their site, and applied differently in the past.
A live chat agent told me that refund requests are limited to 2 refunds per account, due to their "abuse policy", info that cannot be found anywhere on their website.
In short: every step of setup and management has felt unnecessarily difficult, and the service I paid for was not delivered as advertised. I’ve since moved on to a more reliable host.
Apex Hosting used to be great, but right now I cannot recommend them to anyone unless they fix their broken features and drastically improve support.
I will not be using Apex Hosting again.
Update: After my review, two things are worth adding.
First, Apex’s public reply describes the manual modpack install as a "courtesy." In reality, it wasn’t presented that way at the time - it was the only option I was given until I voiced my displeasure in the ticket. Only then did support acknowledge it was actually a wider installer problem. They also claimed a manual install "doesn’t prevent future updates" and that I could "switch back" once the issue was fixed. In practice, the manual install does block updates, and there was no way to switch back because the automated installer was broken indefinitely, with no timeframe for a fix.
Second, when my refund was processed, I received a message from their billing lead accusing me of "abusing" their refund policy - while still saying they "hope to see me in the future." To me, that comes across as unprofessional. A clear policy statement would’ve been enough; a personal accusation wasn’t necessary.
Both of these responses reinforce the same theme: Apex support tends to be reactive and defensive, not proactive and transparent.
