Servicedesk is helpful despite lack of transparency in their services
Not transparent in their services.
Changing NS record of .be domainname is not possible with them, so you are forced to work with their DNS for top level domain name. When ordering, this is never mentioned, only on one of their documentation pages in a small note somewhere.
Not too bad you would think, Strato also provides dyndns services. But for a package with dyndns, you need to pay the exorbitant amount of 48EUR per year, something that is available for free with many other service providers.
Wanted to cancel within the term if 14 days. Going to the terms, you need to send them an email or send a letter. When you go to contact form, no email address is advertised, so in other words no written notice can be given without sending an actual mail.
Pretty crude for a service that provides hosting services.
The full experience gave me a shady feeling rather than a professional service.
Edit: I have had contact with Strato in the meanwhile, and they have correctly & quickly handled the refund and transfer of domain now. The speed and clarity has exceeded my expectations. I still hope Strato takes my feedback and improves upfront communication of what you buy, but the after-sales did a great job.

Easy to create a nice wordpress site. But don't expect any response from customer service on any questions.
Misleading offers, I feel scammed.
This company made me think I was paying 1€ a month but ended up charging me more than 100€ over a year which I could not opt out from. I have never been deceived by a company like this and am absolutely mortified.

STRATO is a low cost site building and hosting platform
STRATO is a platform to set up and build your website(s) and has a workable web interface to do so.
The friendly helpdesk (in your language) is reachable by phone or email and your questions are quickly and helpfully answered.
Some basic knowledge is necessary, but you are always able to turn to the specialists for help.

Untrustworthy
I almost feel scammed by this company, so be very careful if you want to start working with them. They will make it very difficult to terminate your contract and will continue to charge you even after termination. Your information will be sent to a collection company that will start sending threatening emails.
Their platform is not user-friendly at all, the user experience is way below average, and their contracts are most probably purposely confusing.

Be very carefull deciding to do business
We urge organizations looking for a reliable web hosting platform to exercise extreme caution with Strato Netherlands. The company recently removed cron job functionality from its hosting packages—a critical feature for any modern web application.
This significant change was made silently, with no direct communication to customers. The removal is only apparent within the control panel or mentioned in the FAQ. To make matters worse, the technical documentation misleadingly states the feature is "not yet" available, while their customer support's only recommendation was for us to "just cancel the contract."
Without the ability to schedule tasks (like automated backups, data processing, or sending newsletters), a hosting environment is severely limited. It is unsuitable for anything beyond a simple, static website.
As a result, our prior time and development investment in this platform has been rendered useless. For any application requiring more than basic HTTP hosting, we strongly recommend investing in a professional cloud supplier. It will prove to be a much more stable and reliable foundation for your business.

Strato has DNSSEC active so if you move your domain name you have to wait two days to get your website live. I do not understand what is wrong whit Strato

No customer focus, only revenue (for themselves focus)
There have been several hickups in the past with Strato. Today I found out that domain names that I requested to be moved to another contract are still generating invoices, because of the contracts not being stopped. They are not transparent at all. I have asked them to merge contracts and what they did is move the domainname and let the contract exist. Today I spoke to an helpful employee. I have asked for a credit note, to repair the costs. I believe they do this on purpose to increase their revenues

Total scam, wasted one month, never got the domains I ordered
Total scam. I've tried buying two domain names with them, but after placing the order on the 24th of April and being promised that orders process within 24 hours, I never got the domains, even ONE MONTH!! later. I called their customer support several times, on the 25th of April, 1st of May, and 22nd of May. On the first two calls I got promised two times that they'll create a support ticket and it should be resolved between 24-48 hours which of course never happened, and the third time they couldn't even find my order. They wasted one month of my time with absolutely no transparency, I'd recommend to avoid them at all costs.

Could not change DNS to my own host…
Could not change DNS to my own host servers. Everything else seemed to work, although I was quite unfamiliar with the control panel after previously using Hostgator for about 12 years. My customer number is 78101495
