Its probably not best to send emails inviting reviews when you cant resolve issues.
Be aware Vavista is a sister company of Go Skippy they are both subsidaries of Somerset Bridge Insurance Services. I came across them through a comparison site . I require business insurance on my personal vehicle to cover travelling to teach and attend different locations. On these trips I will sometimes take a collegue or my partner if its a week away. I declared the requirement for business use, and after been diverted to both companies websites i ensured that this option was checked and filled in. Go skippy had a fault on their system which wouldnt allow me to pay online, and to call. I rang and was told I would have to pay an admin fee of £20 for taking the policy out on line. They then informed me the businesss use on their policy would a: would only cover me for travel to oneplace of business and b: only for myself in the vehicle no passengers. I tried to clarify this wasnt for hire and reward etc. They were adamant that passengers werent covered and it was only to one place of work. To me this is the old social domestic pleasure and commuting. So its not suitable. I then went to the next quote on the list which is from vavista. Fill in all the same sections including business use. Its a dearer quote and manage to pay for the policy. I then notice in the small print on the email, they are a subsidary of Somerset Bridge Insurance services. So wonder If im going to have the same problem. I send an email asking verification in regards passengers and business locations. The first response states it covers to four different places of work. I send a second email asking again about passengers, the response comes back, no any passengers wouldnt be covered. I again reiterate its not for hire and reward and ask to make a complaint as I now have insurance, which whilst covering me, is not exactly what I need. My concern is with these companies offering chea insurance, a lot of people will have selected them, think they have business use and are covered, and may not have the full cover they think they have. After trying to raise a complaint i have had nothing back, and I wonder if i try and cancel i will have the headache of been charged for doing so.
UPDATE following a call from a nice lady from Vavista. It would appear what two people told me wasn't quite correct. Carrying of passengers is covered but tucked away in another part of the small print covering car sharing. I am now awaiting confirmation of this via email. Their business insurance only covers you for travel to and from 4 places of work though. They have taken this on board as a training issue and will hopefully clarify it on their documentation.

Worth checking alternatives for quotes, do not be lazy and let it autorenew.
Wife was quoted £881.68 with a £450 excess for renewal.
on comparethemarket the same policy with Vavista was £820 with £150 excess.
spoke with the renewals team to try and get her autorenewal matched (both above prices with vavista and same broker) but was told they dont match prices .... so they lost a customer. dont pay more than you need to.

Change of Vehicle Scam
Outrageous prices, borderline scam.
Will be contacting the financial ombudsman services over their predatory "premiums".
Have just got off the phone, having to pay a surprise premium.
Beware if you want to change your vehicle on the policy using their online portal (£35 premium instead of £50 by phone, plus a £5 'admin fee') - they make it seem as if the amount you are paying is the new monthly cost on the policy, in the payment confirmation and the "basket".
I had called up beforehand to speak to an agent, and he only mentioned a £5 admin fee, and said it would be expensive to change the vehicle by phone.
I guess they get you to use the online portal so they don't have to reveal the "premium" amount to you.
We are glad we didn't renew our policy and switched to another provider. We got full comprehensive with the new provider for less than what we were paying vavista for only fire and theft cover.
Absolutely shocking they get away with this nonsense.

Excellent Customers services because of they follows their cancellation policies over the phone calls no matters early in the morning during the Office times they always replied over the phones. Basically Car policies shouldn't have any issues but unnecessarily Insurers makes traps intentionally which caused seriously abusive illegal issues. Should to be very active supportive not only thousands of voice mails options press the button that's all the solutions. CREDIT PREMIUM AGREEMENT committed already taken policies no others alternatives has to be paid the full amounts of AGREEMENT Monthly Installments. Terrible awful CAR INSURERS tries to threatened to the Customers through to POLICE OFFICERS but they should to know POLICE OFFICERS aren't groups of Stupid nonsense. Most of the cases u feel that near about all Services they try to abusing POLICE OFFICERS. Doing aggressive abusive violent behaviours towards Customers or Services Users like NHS LIBRARY then they threatened to called the police. Ultrasound NHS Services big pestering to called the POLICE but surprising ashamed was patient was hungerness before day since 7 PM, sat down inside the Ultrasound GP for Ultrasound but patient was is in the lists. Big instructions not having any foods this that resulted didn't have any sence groups of nonsense. According to the various categories of harrassement abusing illegal unlawfull issues I try to make my own choices own decisions not to get direct killed very simple. We Customers or services users have our own lifestyles we are very busy aswell all day sitting down and sign in the CREDIT AGREEMENT I am unable to do. If agreement Car policy cancelled doesn't matter cancelled then. At least speaking with the Customers services to know the issues. Basically reducing the Stuff all Departments all services made this plan all just Click on the LINK PRESS NUMBER 7 THOUSANDS OF OPTIONS because of stuff shortages. Raised up three double money everything but no good services. Few times I cancelled then again taken VAVISTA CAR PREMIUM because of they have Customers services. Thanks for Customers choices whatever they wants to do. 💯💥👍👍👍👍👍
These people are scammers
These people are scammers. They will take your deposit and 1st direct debit payment then cancel your policy effective immediately, claiming that you didn't provide info when you did. Avoid these robbers!
Poor Customer Service and charges
I took out a car insurance policy and realised shortly after—literally within minutes—that I needed to cancel it. I contacted the company immediately after the payment was taken, well before the policy was due to start (which was still over 3 weeks away), only to be told I’d be charged a £25 cancellation fee.
I find this extremely disappointing and unfair, especially considering that the policy hadn't even started. To make matters worse, this cancellation fee was not clearly visible during the sign-up process or on their website. Had I known about it upfront, I would have reconsidered proceeding in the first place.
Charging such a fee for cancelling within minutes of purchase—before any cover begins—feels like an unnecessary penalty and poor customer service. I believe greater transparency is needed in how these fees are communicated to customers.

Do not fall for the cheap prices they entice you with on comparison sites. It’s all to lure you in and cause you trouble later on.
I purchased my brothers insurance from them. BIG MISTAKE! Within a month they issued a cancellation via a text saying by midnight they will cancel the policy and to call them. When he called a rude lady, probably the same one everyone else is referring to went ape and gave him till 7pm to verify all drivers dvla history. We gave her the codes but she was still barking down the phone so we just accepted the cancellation. Not worth the headache but they are breaking FCA guidelines not giving 14 day notice for cancellation and even though all the licence numbers were entered into Go Compare they don’t do the relevant checks. Nowadays any reputable company can do these checks themselves and also have the NCD proof uploaded and verified.
Sham company that doesn’t charge pro data and makes its own cancellation fees up. I think this one mad lady runs the whole crap from her get to with 10 kids running round the back. Hence why she can’t pay out in any claims!

Terrible insurance company
To be honest I think 1 star is not enough. They deserve no stars!!!!!
I have been with this company for 8 months. I had a claim put in against me and was told that they will not take responsibility for this due to not having commuting on my policy. I then had to add this to my policy. I have been having some financial difficulties with changing jobs. I rang them up asking for help. Where this very rude women was talking down to me and refused for me to give permission for a friends to talk to them on my behalf. She told me my only options are to cancel or to give them money. I explained I could not and needed help. She did not care. All you could hear in the background was laughing and kids shouting. She then got more and more rude until I said cancel the policy. She was very happy about this. No care in the world.
She then told me there is a claim against me and I asked her to explain she got snappy and sharp with me telling me I should know as I hit a car. Now to my information the claim was not being continued with my insurance as I wasn’t fully covered. She then transferred to without telling me. I then had an email stating I owed over a grand to Vavista….
I called and asked why. They told me the claim was my fault and that it’s in my policy. I wasn’t NEVER given a policy/told where the policy was to read. They didn’t care and told me I have to settle this if I like it or not.
The customer support team are rude and act as if they are above their customers. This is my first insurance company and I am appalled with how they treat people. I will NEVER recommend this insurance to any over!!!!
DO NOT USE THIS INSURANCE THEY ARE MONEY GRABBING AND HAVE NO CONSIDERATION FOR THERE CUSTOMERS.

Unfortunately I have to click on the one star but I wouldn’t give them that
My daughter took insurance for her first car insurance from them . Had no help from them .only to be told after she had a claim against her that she didn’t have commuting on her policy and that they wouldn’t pay out for it . She then had to add this to her policy. We have been speaking to them about this . She has since cancelled the policy after talking to a really nasty woman on the phone . And now they have added all these cancellation fees for her to pay even down to them saying it was in the policy document that we never got so they sent it to her after 8 mouths
