Terrible Customer Service and No Transparency
I made a purchase, the payment was approved, and without any clear explanation, the order was canceled for ‘security reasons’. I got a refund, but no one told me what actually happened or gave me the option to resolve the issue. It’s absurd to treat customers this way — I paid, expected to receive the product, and they just canceled it without a proper justification. Terrible experience and complete lack of transparency.

The reason behind this is that, unfortunately, online retailers are frequently confronted with fraud and credit card misuse. To protect our customers and ourselves, we have to follow strict security checks. If certain unusual factors occur together – for example, payment from one country with delivery to another, or other irregularities – our system requires us to cancel the order, even if the payment was initially approved.
Please be assured that this decision was not directed at you personally, but was purely a precautionary measure to prevent fraud. Of course, the payment was refunded immediately so that you did not suffer any financial loss.
We’re sorry for the inconvenience this has caused and appreciate your understanding.

Incorrect condition assessment despite clear evidence
I sold my device to Clevertronic under the "Very Good" category. The condition genuinely matched that rating: the display had no deep scratches or dull areas, and the casing showed only minimal, typical signs of use—exactly what is allowed for a "very good" device according to their own criteria.
Despite this, my device was downgraded to "Heavily Used," with the reasoning that there were "very strong signs of use" on both the display and casing—which is demonstrably false.
The strange thing is: even in the photos Clevertronic themselves sent me for review, the condition is clearly better than described. There are no visible deep scratches, no major dents, no large areas of paint wear.
I'm very disappointed with the process and feel that there's a systematic downgrading happening to justify offering a lower purchase price. The claim that they "don’t benefit financially from a downgrade" seems hardly credible in light of the facts.

In your case, we took a close look and unfortunately had to determine that the device shows significant scratches on the casing as well as widespread signs of use on the display. This is also clearly visible in the photos we sent you.
We understand that condition assessments can sometimes feel subjective – especially when you've perceived the device differently yourself. But we base our evaluations on consistent standards to ensure a fair and transparent process for all our customers.
Please rest assured: we have no interest in downgrading devices unnecessarily – that wouldn't help you or us.

I had a terrible experience with Clevertronic. They listed a MacBook Pro at a great price, so I paid right away—no issues on my end. Then, out of nowhere, they canceled the order, claiming there was some problem processing my credit card, and they said they’d issue a refund. But here’s the kicker: if they never actually got my payment, why do I need a refund in the first place?
It’s pretty obvious they realized they screwed up the price and came up with a flimsy excuse to back out. To make it worse, I wasn’t even allowed to reorder. The whole thing feels shady, and it’s certainly not the customer service experience you’d expect from a company with such a “good” rating. Clearly, that rating is misleading, because based on my experience, Clevertronic just isn’t trustworthy. Buyer beware.
IN RESPONSE TO CLEVERTRONIC REPLY:
This is verbatum what was sent to me:
"wir haben deine Bestellung Nr. 2037632 storniert, da die Zahlung per Kreditkarte nicht erfolgreich war.
Wir haben die Rückzahlung veranlasst und bitten dich bei einer erneuten Bestellung eine andere Zahlungsmethode (z.B. Paypal oder Überweisung) zu wählen."
How can you say in one sentence, the credit card payment was not successful; and in the next sentence say YOU are issuing a refund? If the payment was not successful how do you have my money to issue the refund? Very shady.

To clarify, we never actually received a payment from you, which indicates that there was an issue with the transaction on the payment provider’s side.
As for the pricing concern, we can assure you that the price of the MacBook Pro has not changed. Our prices are always competitive, and the only reason you can not buy the specific device is, that right now it's sold out. But you can set it as your favorite in our shop and get a notification when it's available again. So you won't miss the great offer and hopefully then everything works out with your payment method.

Regarding your case: You purchased the S22 Plus from us three months ago in the "Heavily Used" condition and now wanted to sell it back to us. However, you registered the device as "Very Good", even though you originally bought it in a heavily used condition. The condition cannot improve over time - therefore, we had to classify it as "Heavily Used" again.
We understand that the price difference is frustrating for you. However, please consider that we incur costs, such as double shipping fees, inspection costs, logistics expenses, and more. Our purchase price is therefore based on realistic market values and actual costs.
