I sold tickets via Twickets. Despite my tickets being sold after checks put in place by Twickets I was informed that I have to wait 21 days for my money from PayPal. I then complained and the mone... See more

What has happened to PayPal?
PayPal used to be my go to for paying because it was secure and they were quick to sort out any problems.
I don't know what has actually happened but I've had to contact them twice recently, once because I couldn't raise a dispute (the customer service advisor was very helpful, so gold star for her). They found in favour of a company who had basically stolen my money, even though I had provided evidence said company was in contravention of European law, and they had done the same thing to several people.
The second time was to close my account, which I couldn't do online due to having "account restrictions"???
Received an email today, four days later telling me how they take complaints seriously and the matter was being looked in to.
I take my money being stolen seriously.
I will be using other means of payment with better protection going forward
What has happened to PayPal?
What has happened to PayPal? It used to be so easy, and secure and now it's gone to the dogs. The social media is just full of useless things and not practical updates on the service. Natwest cards have stopped working through Paypal and there's nothing on their social media except one liners about Taco Tuesdays? It's impossible to have a clear conversation with them now. It's gone to the dogs. We used to use it all the time for work purchases but it's so pointless now we are going to close the account. I suspect given the number of negative reviews on here they don't care about people or customer service anymore. Avoid.

Tried to get a refund for a non delivered item, for which I was duped at point of sale into paying full amount instead of installments.
Made PayPal fully aware of the situation including the fact that I would be contacting my bank to get the refund. They told me they were closing my dispute as I had contacted my bank.
They then tried to prevent my bank from issuing me with a refund?
Will never use this service again
PayPal stole my money
PayPal let a scammer steal my money, not just once but twice. No matter how many emails and evidence I supplied PayPal favoured the liars and never bothered to actually check any of my information or even speak to me? They patronised me by favouring a "trusted third party Web site" over me, thier actual customer for about 20 years.
What a slap in the face it was, I was conned, lied to, ignored, then eventually patronised by PayPal so a scammer could steal my money.
New info from this morning to prove the item was not delivered is a screenshot telling me its still with the fictional courier. I let PayPal know this morning that thier info is false, and so far, no reply?
No surprise there.
The other one/case, just refuses to refund me and PayPal says that's OK?
All my evidence in emails are available to view as proof for anyone wanting to use "PayPal money back guarantee/safety online? That doesn't exist!
UPDATE!
PayPal just CLOSED MY CASE??
No explanation why, just closed it?
No appeal, that's been closed too,
No explanation, no matter how much evidence I sent them they just stuck thier fingers up and closed me out!
All my "safe money" GONE!!!
All case details and correspondence available as proof of getting shafted by PayPal, no better that the scammers.
#### BE WARNED###
DO NOT TRUST PAYPAL WITH YOUR MONEY!!!
PayPal is a company run by hopeless staff
I have been over twenty years with Paypal never had any issues that were not solved. Recently I took a credit agreement with Xiaomi to purchase a phone on a 12-month interest free through Paypal In March. So far every month I have had issues with either payment not collected or the payment was collected but the wrong amount. Each time they blame the system .August I took a 4-month interest free on a purchase by PayPal again the same issues continue when I made a payment of 200 pounds it was credited to the wrong account. All in all there credit department is the most inefficient department that I have ever dealt with. Even when they make a mistake, and they agree to escalate the situation to a senior officer, it doesn’t get solved. They absolutely useless. I would recommend not using as a credit agancy but ok for normal payment. Also it's the biggest ripoff. When you purchase an item through them with foreign currency the exchange rate is a daylight Robbey. I have decided with I have settled the agreement I will use other agencies for payment as it way to stressful to deal with them even when account hold as a legitimate reason to complain.

Shocking service
Purchased tickets from AXS through PayPal on the 21/08, received email today from AXS informing me that PayPal had cancelled the transaction and that I have now lost my tickets, PayPal denied they were at fault and then stated it was due to a systems upgrade, customer service were shocking and have no idea when I will get my money back and offered no apologies for the debacle. My advise is steer clear of PayPal!
Did not receive an order from a seller…
Did not receive an order from a seller called Saltdays. Asked Paypal to refund me, which they did. Saltdays emailed me after 3 weeks to advise that they have delivered my order. I emailed back to advise that they had not delivered my order and to cancel it. Then I received an email from Paypal advising that my order had been delivered and asking if I wanted to reverse my refund. I emailed back to Paypal to advise NO, MY ORDER HAS NOT BEEN DELIVERED. Then received an email from Paypal advising that their email address was no longer monitored!! And when I go onto the Paypal website, there is no option to respond to this particular issue, and that the case is closed. And when you message Paypal to advise what has happened, you are communicating with a chat bot, with more irrelevant options. Gave up in the end! Fantastic! What a waste of my time.
Beware trying to submit an unauthorised payment claim!!
I ordered an item with an online company and paid £103.95 by PayPal. Almost immediately afterwards my bank notified me of attempts to debit my account with sums up to £1400.00! I contacted my bank and was advised to cancel my card which I did. I then contacted PayPal and raised a Case File for anunauthorised payment. Within a very short time, the result came back in favour of the Seller!! I was dumbstruck!! I contacted PayPal again to appeal the decision and within the hour, the result was once again, in favour of the Seller!!! After 17 years of always believing that it was best to have a PayPal account when ordering on line, I have done a total 'U' turn. I've lost the money (£603.85) but I've cancelled my account with Paypal and will never recommend them. The customer service for my claim was a disgrace. Shame on them.
Shame on you Paypal
It's a shame where Paypal has come to be. The only reason people use Paypal is because it used to provide effective protection against scams, instead they now gang up with the biggest frauds. They shamelessly took my money and gave it to fraudsters even after providing solid proof of the volume of fraud committed by merchant. In my case I got scammed by JobLeads the biggest scam on the internet, Paypal took their side and rewarded them 70 EUR from my own money bluntly as if they actually have the authority to give away my money against my will. These criminals scam hundreds of people daily, and Paypal is facilitating their operations despite the number of claims they receive daily, I won't be surprised at all if I learn there's an under the table agreement between both. @Paypal FYI this is far from over, I'm coming for you both, there's law in Europe I have all the time in the world, and you will pay
PayPal are facilitating fraud.
PayPal are facilitating fraud.
I was being charged by claritycheck.com £14.99 every 7 days for nothing.
PayPal state I authorised these payments and despite me providing proof that I'm unable to login have denied my case.
I was on the phone with them yesterday and they told me that I'm covered by fraud protection. this is clearly not the case. I will be raising this with my bank and I'll not be using PayPal any further.

Avoid to use paypal they're another scam never give you back your money even with the to proof the Royal mail return proof register with a sing, delays closing cases without any update, i don't recommend to anyone to use paypal service poor service waste of time and money shocking 😇
PayPal refunded two customers randomly…
PayPal refunded two customers randomly for an unknown reason. Raising a dispute is not easy as the resolution centre no longer has a direct link. Getting a real person on chat is also not easy. Eventually after a couple of hours and a lag of several minutes between questions and answers, the rep agreed with me that it was a mistake. A dispute was filed and found in my favour, and closed. However they have not refunded me, and the only answer I can get is "we are working on it". I've been told it may take 2 weeks. Meantime my account is unusable as PayPal's mistake has put my account wrongly into debt. Clicking on the "complaints" link gets a 404 Not Found error. Incredibly appalling service. I am switching my business to using Stripe.
Unnecessary delays and unexpected fees…
Unnecessary delays and unexpected fees on simple funds transfer
Seem fine as a credit card intermediary but not good for much else.
Money sent 10 days ago .....
Money sent 10 days ago and still showing as 'pending'. So money still not transferred and showing in my account. Cant contact anyone for help. Totally useless service. I would recommend alternatives such as Zelle.
Fails to respond
Absolutely useless. Tried transferring money—blocked for no reason. Called support multiple times, only to be cut off mid-sentence on their end. No callback, no resolution, just silence. When I finally got through, they couldn’t explain anything. Not even a vague excuse. If you enjoy frustration and financial limbo, this is the service for you.
Absolutely no support for sellers when…
Absolutely no support for sellers when scammers made a fraudulent chargeback
The worst company out there
The worst company out there, it would be easy to say they are con artists because if you get conned they side with the con artists and you won't get your money back from PayPal, there is no protection from PayPal so your better using your card as the bank will give you your money back, stay clear and you'll be a lot safer from fraudsters.
ZERO
It's CLEAR to see from these reviews how little PayPal care about the 'service' they (don't) provide.
There's not really any point going into details.
A big fat ZERO from me.
