A textbook scam disguised as a service …
A textbook scam disguised as a service they hide auto-renewal traps behind fine print, offer zero real value, and rely on tricking people who just wanted a simple report. Avoid this shady operation at all costs.
Never use this service
Never use this service! NEVER!
The report is useless and there is a hidden subscription which will coat you 99.99 in your currency. Usually Euro, USD, GBP etc.
They will charge you directly from your cars in the 3rd day after the initial payment of 1.99 for the report.
SCAMMERS!
AVOID!
Fraud
It’s a scam, they try to charge 100 € after the inital 0.99€ even though you cancel the subscription
Dont use your card otherwise the whole money will gone
I have used this service to check the history of my car, and then when I have checked the history of my virtual Visa card I have found that they tried to charge from my card almost daily. That means that they steals everything from your card. Stay away from this service.
SCAM
SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! Report they sent me for 1.99 is a fake as car I was checking is SUV and I got one for Audy a3. After couple of days they tried to charge 99 euros when got rejected by my bank they tried a day later. Also got rejected by my bank. Luckily I saw it on my statement and blocked the card. AVOID!
They are cheaters.
They are cheaters.
They sell you 3 day trial, but when you cancel on day 3, they charge you 50 EUR
Hidden subscription and unauthorized charge – be careful!
I used checkcar.vin on July 17 to check a single VIN number. The website advertised the service for €0.99, and I paid thinking it was a one-time payment.
Three days later, on July 20, I was shocked to find that €49.99 had been charged from my card without any warning or clear consent. I never agreed to a subscription, and there was no obvious information during the payment process about automatic charges.
I contacted support immediately, but received no response for several days.
This feels deceptive and unfair — charging users without clear notification or approval is unacceptable.
I have contacted my bank to dispute the transaction and will be reporting this website to consumer protection authorities.
Be very careful with this site. It may look cheap at first, but you might get charged much more without knowing it.
SCAM!!!
SCAM!!!!
Advertised as 1.99 Euro for a report - which is pretty pointless and then 3 days later taken 100 Euro.
I raised with the customer support team to settle amicably and they are aggressive and useless.
DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!
I bought three cars in a row
I bought three cars in a row - two Hyundais and one Ford, and every time it was right on schedule, no hidden “surprises.” The CARFAX report is built in, which is insanely convenient. Respect for that.
Honestly
Honestly, before my first purchase I thought it was some kind of scam: deposits, delays, “your car is waiting for a couple more buyers”… But it turned out totally different. I paid the deposit, waited a couple of days, and got full info on the car. Then came the delivery stage: everything was on schedule, no “wait 3 to 6 months” drama. In reality, the car arrived in a month, with no vague excuses or held-up payments. I was pleasantly surprised.

I’ve been sourcing cars from the U.S
I’ve been sourcing cars from the U.S. for about five years now, and PLC Auction really surprised me. The site is made for people who know the game: filters, auction sheets, photos - everything’s there. You can tell the team put in the work. The vehicle checks are transparent, and they don’t hide the damage.
SCAM/ AVOID
This company appears to be operating from Russia and is suspected of scamming Lithuanian customers. They charge €99.99 for so-called "subscriptions" but do not provide any real services. The reports they deliver are copied from free VIN decoder tools available online.
This seems to be a fraudulent operation. We strongly advise avoiding any dealings with this company. If you have fallen victim to them, report the incident to your local police or consumer protection authorities.
Biggest scam OUT THERE.
Biggest scam OUT THERE.
Their own slogan basically points at themselves.
You buy a report for 1.99 — which was useless anyway, no info at all! Then a few days later they charge you 99 CHF for a subscription I never intentionally signed up for.
What a disgusting fraud company!
