Car insurance renewal
We eventually got offered a good price but only after having taken up another companys offer, so when we came back to one protect to leave the original quote was dropped £57.
If this price was available why wasn't it offered in the original quote?
Don't use them, worst customer services
Gave a good price but just after two months I had to change my car. When buying the new car i tried to contact One Protect to get the old car off my policy and replace it with the new car. Too difficult when needing to do things quickly. Ended up going with another company. Following day I wanted to cancel the old policy. Only using the policy for just over 2 months thought I would be due to get some refund - but was told there's no money to refund after the brokers fee is paid and a cancelation charge!!! BEWARE.

Spoke with agent “TJ2” today regarding an update on my claim. My current policy isn’t showing on my policy, explained this and she told me that I had to wait ten minutes then click on the register, so I told her I wanted her to leave the chat open while I done this but she advised the lines were closing at 4pm. She obviously just told me this so she could end her shift. Then told me lines for the claim department were open Monday to Friday 9-4 pm however when I click chat now they say Saturday and Sunday 9-4pm also. She clearly wanted me off the line and I don’t appreciate that. Sad actually because every other advisor I’ve spoken to have been more than helpful and I’ve been so impressed with one call until today.

Over complicated website asking questions about mortgage's and provider's when I'm trying to buy car insurance. Didn't enjoy the endless questions on every page asking about extras like breakdown cover and car hire. Very top heavy deposit of £189. Never have I paid so much for the first payment. Don't understand why when the policy was less than £400 in total. Finally I had to wait in a queue on live chat to ask why the policy wasn't immediately available to view ? Other insurance company's policies appear instantly. I was told verification was required ? Other insurer's check your license with DVLA before you move to the next page of the application. On a positive JT3 was excellent and resolved my issue. Well done Sir 👍

I used the chat facility and was helped by ir2, this was straightforward and llana was extremely helpful and polite. Everything I needed was done and I was sorted easily.
I would not hesitate to use again.

Firstly it was a Sunday so I wasn't expecting that which was great as I needed my car insurance to start on the following Tuesday. He was polite in our chat and quickly answered my queries. He also made an effort to sort out a slight confusion on the NCB which was a relief for me and the insurance set up was concluded. Thank you
Nightmare!
I had an insurance and passed my test wanted to update and couldn’t do it in the portal, you cannot call them, it was a nightmare on the chat i left and got insurance elsewhere
Really dodgy
Really dodgy. Took my wife's money without her realising she had completed a transaction (she was still looking at the add-ons). Didnt realise til the charge showed up on bank account. Hours to get reply from agent who ended chat as soon as cancellation mentioned. They refuse to cancel unless stump up £50 even though cancelled within couple of hours and policy not starting for a month. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Not good practice
New to this company. Took out a car Insurance on the 29th Nov. I then received an email 6 days later stating I had a discrepancy on my insurance policy, and that I will be charges £42.50 administration fee, and a letter is on its way, but as yet not received!! Ridiculous. Why take 6 days to inform me of an error when it could have been resolved sooner. Tried contacting them via chat online, but oh so slow I gave up. Not a very happy '75 year old ' customer. 👎

Will take your money for doing for nothing
I took out a home insurance policy due to start in a few days time and paid in full. As I had been away on business I didn't have time to check all my emails and had missed the fact my old insurance had renewed. So i called One Protect and said that I didnt need two Insurance policies so just cancel and refund me in full, since the policy does not start until a few days from now.
They decided to keep £49.99 just for setting up the policy (which is likely to be auto generated with my details).
After speaking with the agent informing him that the policy isn't due to be active until a few days, he said he cant refund in full since the policy has been setup ans so it IS in effect. So I asked that "if i was to make a claim today, when policy has not started, would you then pay up for the damage" - to which the answer was "no because the insurance hasn't started"
He then had the audacity to ask "why cant you cancel the other policy".!
Well, if you are being like this when i haven't even made a claim, why do you think i would choose to be with you?
Its quite easy to earn internet credits by showing good faith and good customer service, but this company would rather take your money.
