TEKLED delivered ….

TEKLED handled my contact about “Where’s my Order” immediately. When I ordered the light bulbs TEKLED stated delivery 1-2 days by Royal Mail 24hr tracked. It would have helped in my case if this timeframe was 24 to 72hrs because although TEKLED despatched within 24 hours; Royal Mail took 36 hours!

That said, would buy from TEKLED again; good service and product as expected.

Diabolical

Diabolical. With 02 for 2 years and phoned to agree a further 12 month SIM only deal. Switch done whilst I waited on the phone and since then, trouble with voicemail that has resulted in hours on the phone with their employees who do not seem to understand many queries and pass you on via the "call queue" once again. One person could not envisage my home screen telephone icon that had on it a red dot (new voicemail), and requested I travel across the city to the 02 store. In the store they seemed to know what the trouble was - a missed bolt-on when taking out new deal - but could not do it there. Anyway the systems were down in the shop (and on the phone for that matter)
Have still not got it sorted.
One employee has just put me back in the queue pretending he could not hear me, so after another 40 minutes, I need to give up again and try later.

Green Thumb letdown …

I’ve used Green Thumb on a pay as you go basis for over 20 years but their service has deteriorated. I’ve only had one visit in February this year and despite asking them repeatedly they only reply once and say they’ve had a lot of staff off sick and my request is with the scheduling team. This has been the case for weeks now. Communication is poor and service now seems worse. I’m going to have to cancel - and they don’t seem to care a jot.

Ordering was easy

Ordering was easy, and good communications regarding order progress were received. The product arrived as expected, although delivery took a little longer than ideal, and delivery was not effected exactly as per instructions, although this was not detrimental.
Altogether a reasonable experience.

Uncertainty - again like many times before I…

Once again like many times before I used the shared shuttle service from Best4u.
In bygone years they were usually 8 seaters, but recently large coaches.
Due to the number of passengers that can fit into the large coach; the journey took the maximum permissible time ( journey time plus about 1 hour).
However on the arrival journey, the driver clearly did not know the area. My booking form had on it a private apartment address ( situated off the main road down a fairly narrow lane). There was no confirmation of where I would be dropped off so I expected it to be “the nearest hotel”. Except the driver didn’t know where it all was. He tried to drop me about 20 minutes walk away at hotel Balaia Plaza, near Santa Eulalia, which he insisted was Monte da Balaia. He should have dropped at Velamar Hotel; 7 mins max. From the Balaia accommodation.
So he shrugged his shoulders and went round again - sailing past the Velamar hotel yet again. I had to stop him making the same error again and got off at the roadside just past the Velamar. He complained as if it was my fault.
**** if these buses do not visit private addresses, then when the address is listed on the booking form, there should be a facility to state the name of the nearest hotel pickup point***
On the return to Faro airport, the office in the phone call was clearly unaware of any such issues and just recited the private address. I had to point out the earlier problem before mutually agreeing pick-up at the Velamar.

Actually the coach didn’t stop at the Velamar either as access was too small and narrow, so I had a sprint down the road with luggage to the nearest bus stop, opposite side of the road to the Velamar!
All very hard work. Would recommend using a taxi if possible. Shortfall in the system and no communication.

So glad Toolstation is close to where I live as I have used them several times now.
Once again ordered what I needed and had collected it within the hour, with a bonus item that I also needed and never thought to look for - at a great price.
All good.

False economy buying at Aldi

I have greatly reduced the items that I buy from Aldi, now omitting much fresh produce because of the poor quality and lack of taste.
In particular potatoes and fruit.
Have also noticed the tins of tuna are 145g gross - drained weight only 102 grams compared to other main supermarkets tins offering 160 grams.
Aldi might be cheaper at the checkout but it is false economy as you get less or have to throw much of it away. Think it’s gone downhill - fewer products are good buys.

A Good Transfer experience

Pick up took place punctually after I had phoned as requested to confirm the time and place, and the driver was extremely helpful and pleasant too, which is quite unusual these days. Would recommend.

Ombudsman lacklustre

By contacting Ombudsman very early September 2021 after the compulsory 8 week wait, I felt confident I would have help with my messy EDF billing issue following GNE going into administration back in January 2021, and EDF taking over as a supplier of last resort (I think they call it).

Ombudsman services requested EDF to provide a GNE final bill, and an EDF invoice with the correct opening readings on (not higher guessed readings), - and a full account Statement showing my total cost of gas and electric from the GNE closing read to date. Required by me because many invoices EDF produced had incorrect readings and had to be cancelled, with numerous VAT adjustments thrown in.

The Account Statement when finally received did not show any charges; only all payments I made, some cancelled charges(?), V.A.T. adjustments and a big credit balance. I've given up, and only because on log-in I know that EDF finally produced an invoice on 10th November 2021 with the correct readings on it, will the account automatically adjust and should be OK.

My point is - It seems Ombudsman services has not seen the Statement from EDF and has "closed" my complaint simply when told it had been produced. If they had seen it, I am sure they should realise it means not a lot and wouldn't have closed the issue. I will with pleasure leave the matter to rest, but not a good resolution and an exhausting experience.

Not sure whether Ombudsman Services or EDF deserves the 1 Star most, but both of them are great at closing complaints - 5 stars each for that.

Good product from Ideal World TV

Good product from Ideal World TV - bought Roof Fix and it did the job.

Will watch Ideal World TV again because it's good to see products demonstrated. Easy to order and product was delivered quickly. Only slight issue was a partially dented tin but no real problem as I used the stuff almost immediately.

This was a good service

This was a good service. Only given 4 because when I booked with an online chat, I was told a different place for the return pickup than was actually the case. The actual pickup location was very convenient and went smoothly.
Would use again for sure.
